Shenzhen Hotel Beijing

This hotel is one of the more basic rooms I have stayed in, in all of China. It was fine. The breakfast buffet is expansive and wonderful, it may be the best part. There are hot items, a soup station, porridge and breakfast treats, juice and coffee. When I first arrived, I somehow had reserved the day after I arrived. They had me take a seat, and while I thought they were making a reservation for me, since I was there AT THE HOTEL in front of reception, they were just waiting for me to make the reservation on my phone. After sitting for about 30 minutes waiting, this was finally cleared up. The room is basic, view of the freeway, the bed is typical Chinese, very very firm. There are towels and toiletries. There is a beer bar and other things on premises but they were closed for Chinese New Year. There is a pool but it was open the first day I was there and then closed for Chinese New Year. I wish I had known this when making a reservation, as I cancelled with a different hotel for the same reason. The location is a long walk from the subway station, and it's a bit out from most of the Beijing things in the city. Next time I would choose a different hotel, but it's fine for this trip.

The hotel gladly was for foreigners, however I expected a 4 star hotel, as it was announced. This one may reach 1 - 2 star hotel and trust me the cleanness is mandatory in any sort of accommodation by that price. Also they do receive foreigners but they speak English in a level of 50% just you better do your best to translate for them. Also was not clear the breakfast as when I booked it says BREAKFAST and then didn't show up anything when I paid but I wanted to have even basic breakfast (it's 4 stars) so for real by the price you asume .. there is coffee and breakfast or even a croissant. Anyways they said No, you don't have breakfast option and I didn't wanna argue as I had a train to catch so, this really drops down my experience. I guess you can book this place just if you don't find anything else in town

Good evening to you, Hope you are well. First of all - heartfelt thank you to TripAdvisor and all of you'll for allowing me to write this review. This wasn't my stay - this was my father's stay. His name is Fuad and he personally requested me to write this review on behalf of him because he was so amazed and happy by the service he received from the hotel. So, firstly - I think there is a rule in Beijing currently that does not allow foreigners (non-Chinese national) to stay in most hotels in Beijing. Almost everything, if I am not mistaken. Kindly, check your confirmations and with the hotels before you arrive there because my dad already booked a hotel in Beijing though another provider but unfortunately wasn't allowed to check-in. He wasn't informed of it. So, after arriving in the night. He spent so much time trying to get a hotel that very night and became very frustrated because he wasn't getting even hotel that would allow him to check-in. Eventually, he found this gem. They were very kind enough to allow him to stay there and gave him a single room. They were very kind to him and took care of him very well despite the language barriers. They helped him a lot and the service they provided him was top notch. He was super happy. Special mention - Madam 'Misma' who my dad asked me to mention was super good, super helpful and very kind towards my dad. She tried her best to solve all the problems and was very sharp in her service. He stayed there for 7 nights and really liked it. Once again, thank you from him! Thank you from me on behalf of him!
