East Garden Hotel

This hotel is undergoing refurbishment and possibly a name change to East Garden Hotel. So this review is possibly premature. The room I had seemed old, tired and poorly planned. The bed was hard. The wardrobe door clashed with the arm of the room door. The second door of the wardrobe was sealed. There was no desk. So I would suspect it would be a good idea to avoid this hotel for a few months and wait for the completed refurbishment.

Very slow internet connection. This hotel is not 4-star worthy. Staff and reception speak only Chinese otherwise they are very friendly.Downstairs is a clothing store where they sell overpriced clothes. T-shirt 100,-eur--wowwow

Stayed here as part of a Wendy Wu tour. Only two, very slow lifts. Rooms, although very clean were tired and worn. Had an evening meal and breakfast here and both were really awful. You can walk quite easily to the Peoples Square where there is a replica of the Temple of Heaven. The Three Gorges museum is also in the square and is an excellent museum.
