Chongqing Jinjiang Oriental Hotel

I stayed two nights in the hotel. Room is spacious and very clean with nice views even from the bathroom. Bed very comfortable. Lobby is impressive. Breakfast ok. No walking distance to the city center. A little bit noise even from them 16 floor. Nice staff.

Stayed in this hotel for 2 nights, rooms were quite spacious , location was good with many restaurants option with a km distance around , breakfast spread was good me being vegetarian still had a fair amount of option, check in and check out was smooth. Yes I do agree English speaking staff was not available and it awat from the city centre.

I was on a UK Foreign office trade mission in China, and up to this point had nothing but praise for the hotels we stayed in. All were international hotels in every aspect, from multiple power sockets seemingly covering every global plug type to English speaking staff, fantastic service levels and spotlessly clean rooms and facilities. At this hotel check in was very painful, no English speaking staff available and no English speaking staff in the bar. Luckily I can order a beer in Mandarin but that's about my current limit. My room felt fusty, it was extremely hot and the aircon was less effective than leaving the minibar fridge open. My room also felt dated and less than spotless, in fact I had reservations about staying in it but I was very tired and couldn't face the idea of asking for another room using sign language. Left in the morning asap.
