Yuzhu Garden Hotel

The room: The lighting was poor and the beds were too firm. The bathroom had a glass wall but there was a blind to draw which reduced the amount of light coming into the bedroom if the bathroom was used at night. The bedroom did have a nice river view and the bathroom had a large variety of amenities. There was no coffee in the room (but two types of tea) nor was there a safe. The breakfast was the worst of the six hotels that I stayed in (not in terms of food quality but in terms of choice). There was no coffee other than coffee with sugar and milk already mixed in. Nor was there any fruit juice. Our guide (clearly too used to complaints from western tourists) brought a jar of Nescafe and a bottle of orange squash in order to appease our western taste buds. The food stuffs were quite basic - and certainly little if any was of western style.

We stayed at this hotel as part of our Wendy Wu - Yunnnan & Sichuan trip. Unlike most hotel beds in China, this bed was firm BUT had some softness making it most comfortable for people with hip problems. Also, could not cool the room below 21 degrees C where as public areas was cooled! We were on the 10th floor and could hear road noise. Big room but could do with more lighting for night time. No refrigerator and Wi-fi was hit and miss! Breakfast was chinese but had plenty to choose from. Good location on the river with easy access to walking downtown.

Stayed here for two nights. Rooms are spacious and check in was breeze. Breakfast was adequate and dinner was good. Hotel location is in the Wulong town centre, thus provide a good leisure stroll for shopping and foods. If you are here for 阿依河旅游 and 乌江画廊 trips, this hotel could be a good choice.
