Kingston Hotel

don't live here but dinner only. hotel was big enough & restaurant also acceptable. food was traditional Fuzhou style & taste acceptable. staff service also ok. convenience location & air-con also accepable. not bad.

This Hotel apparently has two names - Jinshidun Hotel and Kingston Hotel. I found that it was very clean, had well appointed rooms, including a small refrigerator. The AC in my room didn't work very, but they brought me an electric fan, and that was fine. Food at the restaurant was very good. We learned that they only fill the indoor swimming pool for certain times of the year, but April wasn't part of that time period. The hotel was fine for our meetings, which were held there. I'd recommend it.

The photo is wrong, this is not a Super 8. It is a typical Chinese hotel though. That means good and bad. When checking out, you have to wait while staff checks the room. They told me a coat hanger was missing, and I told them it was in the bathroom. Also, they made me give back the cloth laundry bag that was holding my wet swimsuit. Bad: The pool use has a daily cost of 118 Yuan The breakfast buffet is strictly Chinese with no toaster, cold cereal, cold milk, or fresh juices. The beds are Chinese hard. Only a few English speaking employees. Good: Easy to book on Ctrip with a price of only 308 Yuan plus tax Free in-room Internet Supermarket across from hotel. Refrigerator in room. Central location.
