Seashine (Hua Du)

The rooms are very large, as well as the bathroom and the shower area, completed by an excellent personal hygiene kit. However, the decor seems a bit dated and could use a refresh. The breakfast offers a varied buffet for those who love Chinese cuisine, but the choice becomes quite limited if one is looking for an international option. The biggest limitation, considering the four-star category, is that none of the staff speak English, making communication at the reception rather complicated without a translation app. It remains a convenient solution, twenty minutes by car from the airport.

The hotel is in a good location 5 min from the Xiamen railway station. Have good coffee, stay away from the juice not fresh type tastes more of syrup. Can get simple Western breakfast but lots of Chinese dishes. It's location is near lots of restaurant by taxi 12-15kuai. Staff are friendly. We stayed during national holidays and had a lovely show performed by the staff. Will definitely recommend it

We arrived late from a long day's traveling (2 flights and a taxi ride) and found that we had been upgraded to good rooms, so we were very happy. Daughter's room even had a wooden bath in it. So we were able to stretch out and relax which was much appreciated. The hotel has no bar by the way so if you want some beer then go to the lobby shop (which shuts at 10pm) and buy a few cans for your delectation. Prices are reasonable. All in all, a good find and we will use the hotel again.
