Xiamen Airlines Hotel

This was our transit hotel in Xiamen which was included in our air ticket. We stayed one night here before taking the domestic flight to Hohhot. Knowing that we may be hungry at that late hour, our tour leader treated us to some noodles at the hotel canteen. I was surprised that there was such a noodle called satay noodle which I had not heard of in my country where satay is our heritage food. It was also my first time hearing that there is such a noodle called paste noodle. Anyway, the beef noodle and noodle soup tasted well but not the paste noodles. My wife felt scammed by the noodle picture on the sign board. Breakfast is provided free at 7 am but we had to be at the airport early for our flight and thus departed early without taking the breakfast. We had light Macdonald fast food at the airport instead. Anyway, we had early lunch on board the plane. The hotel bedroom is quite basic but manageable.

The company xiamen airlines provided us for free for one night a room here and everything was perfect. The room was beautiful, equipped with every amenity. The bathroom was large and beautiful. The breakfast buffet included was very good and the staff although they speak very little English, is very kind. There is also a small gym! Thank you so much xiamen airlines!!!

There are 2 Xiamen Airlines Hotels in Xiamen--in middle of town (near Hilton) and near the riverside. The one we stayed in is in the middle of town, The complimentary hotel stay was part of our flight transit. The hotel is approximately 3-5 mins walk to a subway station. The room size is small. Beds are comfortable and the bedsheets are clean. The toilet seat is great. Although the room comes with breakfast, we didn't get to enjoy it because we had to leave the hotel early to catch our flight. Breakfast is from 7am. Hotel doesn't provide a take-away breakfast. The lady manager at the lobby is not so customer friendly unlike the rest of the front desk staff.
