Jin Jiang Sun Lanshou

Been here for a few days now, it's better than comparably priced hotels in the USA. Staff very friendly, if you can't speak any Chinese, you are unprepared to travel here, so have a good translation app or a friend to translate. I haven't explored inside the hotel much but it's cleanliness and location are better than expected. Foreigners welcome, just have some grasp of the language when you visit another country.

Nice rooms and comfortable bedding, good Chinese-Western breakfast, fast laundry service, and yet I won't return to this hotel. That was a cold winter day, central heating was working as if heating oil were getting out of fashion. Room temperature reached 26'C = 79'F. No control, no valve to stop this blaze. Windows sealed. Reception thought I should be pleased with well-heated room. Assistant manager phone ring, ring, ring no answer. I had a very bad night sleep. I won't take another chance at this hotel, even on a summer day.

The staff at front desk are non responsive to any of your questions. And they simply don't know how to communicate. They let people cut the line while you are checking out. And when you reason, they would say" they're checking the room now, you have to wait!" The AC in my first room was not working. At night they changed me to another room which has the same problem. After almost one hour, they finally gave me an upgrade to a slightly bigger room. And the manager didn't even say anything when he left! I waited for room at front desk because the room was not cleaned. But the front desk just gave me the room keys and told me to put the luggage inside myself! I sent a coat for pressing in the morning, and went to sleep with the DND light on. When the coat is ready, the staff knocked at my door for like two minutes! And after I ignored her, she called my room and asked me to open the door! After she woke me up, I called the manager's line very angry. But the front desk picked up, said the manager was busy and they would tell him about this matter. But then, nothing ever happened until I check out. Nobody even left an apology note in my room! This is definitely not a four star hotel. It might be fine if you're just looking for a plain inn where you don't expect much. Still I would like to thank the housekeeping staff. They are polite and kind anyways.
