Wanpan Hotel Dongguan

i stayed there for 4 nights... rooms are clean and spacious.. room service is also good ..responsive... Breakfast is mainly chinese ... but stil you can couple of things to survive... it is just beside walking street so you can get plenty of options for food and shopping..

Even though this hotel is near the Fumin pedestrian street (where some good food is available)... I would never stay here. This was one of the worst hotels I've stayed at in the Mainland - and I've been to some rural places. So bad I actually checked out in the middle if the night after traveling all day and being beyond exhaustion. I should have left when I specifically asked over the phone for a non smoking room and when I got there I find out they claimed they just turned the floor I was booked for into thier first non-smoking floor that same month. Ash trays were in the rooms still... I think they just lied about having non smoking rooms. I was so tired I didn't care, though. A big mistake on my end. After checking in and unpacking I went to take a shower I noticed a lot of hair on the bathroom floor and human excrement literally smeared all over the walls near the toilet! I also saw some nasty bodily fluids dried onto the cloth of the headboard (you can guess what I'm talking about)!!! It was about 1am by this time so I made the decision to have them come up and clean the room with my husband and I there. I was super grossed out that the manager scraped the stuff off the headboard with her bare hands after frist trying to tell me it was a tear in the dark cloth! The straw that broke the camel's back was when a cleaning woman went into the bathroom, stuck the toilet brush in the toilet water, and then used that to CLEAN THE TOILET SEAT, WALLS, FLOOR, AND EVERYTHING ELSE!!! No wonder the walls were smeared with human feces!! She literally thought toilet water was what you clean with. I was soooooo disgusted I knew I couldn't sleep there and left. I found the Southern China International Hotel and stayed there the duration of my stay. Much better rooms and more professional staff.
