Daysun International Hotel

The hotel was not too bad. The only reason I did not rate it higher is because I've stayed at nicer hotels in the area for less. Also I do not like that it is not near a metro station. The people were friendly. The views were nice. They do have iron/ board, but you must request it... Being that it's not near the metro and the cost, i'll probably will not stay here again.

Pros: Spacious room 4 star western comforts Fare price with breakfast included Breakfast is average with only a few western choices Located on main road Opposite a beautiful large park Cons: Central aircon only, has no window for fresh air. Hotel only occupies a few height floors in this building which is common in China. eg. Small Hotel in a tall building. Breakfast dinning room chairs are huge, low coffee tables making it very difficult to enjoy breakfast. Problems encountered: Book a non smoking room, but given the smoking floor Level 21, then had to wait an hour for first available nonsmoking room on floor Level 22. TV had no sound, was fixed the following day.

None of the restaurants in the hotel, had staff who spoke English; but a great willingness to use a translation program on their smartphone, so I got served good Chinese food and beer. The hotel has shuttle service to the Canton Fair, so it is easy to get to the fair and back to the hotel.
