Hanting Premium Hotel Guangzhou Memorial Hall Metro Station

The hotel itself was satisfactory for what you pay. We booked through Agoda - don't do it! Book through a different website. The hotel had no record of our booking at all. Luckily it was off peak season and they were able to find us a room. A convenient location.

The front-desk was helpful, the hotel is located to a few tourist spots like Sun Yat Sun Memorial, Yuexie Park, 72 Martyns Park, Baiyun Shan Park. 2 MRT Stop away from Beijing Road Shopping area, 4 MRT Stops away from Shangxiajiu lu, 3 MRT stop away from Chen Ancestory. It is located near Ji Nan Bei MRT Station, abt 5 min walks, lots of nice street food around there. Room was big, comfy enough for 3. The only problem is that there is only 1 toilet door. The door can either close the bathing area or the toilet area. But if u travel with family, should be ok. There is also no hook and cupboard in the room so u will have a little problem hanging your clothes.

This was an overdue review but I just need to post it up as we had great experience with this hotel. I was staying at this hotel with my husband on our first trip to Guangzhou on October last year. We booked the hotel through the internet and initially I was quite worried about the condition because of the price we paid. (around $40 per night, at the time of booking). We stayed there for 3 nights. The check-in was a breeze and the hotel staff were friendly. It was a small hotel but for the price that we paid, we expected less. I was very happy once we checked into our rooms. Although it was a small room but it has almost everything that we needed. A working table, TV, queen-sized bed, AC (though we didn't really use lots of it), electric kettle, cups, and most importantly free internet in the room; which we used extensively during our stay. I especially loved the shower coz it had good water pressure and the temperature control was good, unlike some budget hotels. The bathroom and toilet is also very clean and in good condition, which is a TOP PRIORITY for me. The location of the hotel is good. Most cab drivers will know its location but it is best that you asked someone to translate the hotel name and address into Chinese Simplified Characters and print it out on paper. Whenever you wanna take a cab back to the hotel, just show the driver the address written in Chinese. This will save both your time and the cab drivers, as some of them will be clueless. Also have the hotel telephone numbers with you, so you can ask the cab driver to call the hotel for location if all else fails. The hotel is a few minutes walk to the nearest McDonald's and also to the metro. (but remember, metro and McDonald's are at the opposing side). Hailing a cab is quite difficult in Guangzhou especially during rush hours (the same as all big cities, so it is better to take the metro). Anyway, I hope this hotel maintain their standards, services, and cleanliness. We will definitely stay at this hotel again the next time we're in Guangzhou.
