I would expect it to be better for the money I gave. The breakfast is good and good room security. No one could come in if you weren't a tenant

We arrived late at the hotel and the night desk staff were very helpful even insisted helping with our heavy luggage to the room. Once there he helped adjust the aircon, showed us how the cable TV works and telling us how to get to the subway. Bottle water was readily available in the room and extras from the lift lobby. There were complimentary(replaced daily) canned drinks in the fridge. Room was of good size for us to lay out and repack our month long China trip luggage before heading home. 2 comfortable twin beds and good cool aircon as it was getting warmer outside and from our last destination, Shangri-La. Letdown was the hotel was a little old, not maintained and worse when people smoke in the corridor it penetrates into the room. From the date of booking we had requested for a non-smoking room/floor and we were assigned to a smoking floor. The aircon compressors were just out the window and reason why it was noisy throughout our 3-night stay. The walk to the subway was unlike what the front desk described; get out, turn right and right then left at the main road and you'll see the entrance. It's 10-15 minutes walk! Breakfast was terrible and no wonder I did not see many guest at the cafe. It's not buffet but a set 5 choice menu with limited items. Must as well not include breakfast or simply have hard boil eggs, toast, cereal and fresh fruits. Nearby there are lots of takeaway eateries that offer better fresh food and on the last morning I bought a healthy breakfast that cost only Y20 for 2 people. After we checked out we were struggling to hail a taxi to the airport and the front desk staff were happily talking among themselves instead of trying to help their guest. Nestled among aging residential apartments the hotel really needs a sprucing up or contend with losing clients to newer hotels which nowadays even have an AI room butler to assist turn on/off aircon, TV and curtains among others.
