Friendly and helpful staff member, Mr. Wong, who spoke Cantonese. Clean and spacious room (Shuya superior) with a good bed. The hotel is located right next to Yuexie Park, which is quiet during the night. Yuexie Park is beautiful, but steep. The Orchid Garden is nearby and is also beautiful. Plenty of restaurants in the area. Dim sum Diandude is within walking distance and offers good value for money. There is also a large supermarket in the same mall. Metro exit A near the hotel has no escalator. Good metro connections to the city center. Breakfast is Chinese-oriented. The main language spoken is Mandarin. English is difficult. Paying with cash is possible in Guangzhou; however, coordinate in advance, as many payments are made via apps like Alipay. Streaming TV with Western mobile apps proves impossible. Only Chinese and Hong Kong TV channels are available. The hotel is a business hotel with a modern wabi-sabi look. Two washer-dryer combinations are available free of charge.

Rooms & Toilets are Big and clean. I stayed her 3-4 times while visiting Guangzhou on work and paid around RMB:300/- on normal rate period and RMB:600/- during exhibition periods. Breakfast is included in the rates which is a good deal. Alot of Arabic guets stay here and there are 3-4 arabic restaurants around the corner 200mts away from this hotel. You would need to take a Taxi to the shopping areas and costs RMB:10/- to Beijing Road. RMB: 150/- max. to the airport from the hotel.

A frenzy of activity happening at this hotel, packed elevators, (very slow elevators!) long queues at breakfast. Their was usually one one table vacant and often not cleaned from previous occupants however the selection was quite good, but the tea and coffee very ordinary. Usually just lukewarm tea and no fresh coffee. I spent 15 minutes waiting to get two eggs fried! Due to the Trade Fair, it appeared the hotel was struggling to cope with the huge number of occupants all demanding breakfast at the same time. Service to the rooms was punctual and efficient. The housekeeping staff eager to clean your room ding donging the door bell if you slept past 9.30am. Very comfortable beds and even wi fi so that was a fabulous bonus. The location is okay, not far from most major shopping districts and available taxis at their doorstep. We thought the price was a big high as we had booked through Agoda not at first realising that it was peak time with the World Trade Fair. Avoid this time if you are not going to Guangzhou for the fair as everything price wise sky rockets. There are thousands of products and manufacturers every where you go - it seems the whole world is here trading!
