Yes, wow. Chinese hotels have all been amazing but this one was just wow!. The location to the convention center is awesome but the whole experience of this hotel made me want to stay forever. This is an amazing hotel and the buffet is crazy good when it was the Sheraton, we booked the Club Lounge and had an impressive experience. The food was top notch and the Club Lounge was the best in the world. I have been to several USA Club Lounge resorts that were sub-par compared to this location. I would definitely stay here again.

I reserved this hotel at 3 pm on a Sunday and arrived 11 hours later, at 2 am - and the hotel still had no idea I was coming. Only one employee works the hotel at night and he was very kind (even paying for my taxi with his WeChat account) but overmatched. Since losing the Sheraton branding, they seem to have also lost most of the English-speaking staff, and even basic things like orange juice are no longer available at breakfast. Breakfast itself now doesn't open until 7:30 am, which is difficult for a business traveler. Overall, the hotel hardware is still fine but needs new software, if that makes sense. (Very literally with regard to the wifi - I still haven't been able to log in.) On the plus side, the setting is very empty and calm, witout many guests at all.

This used to be under Sheraton/Starwood management though due the lack of clientele (I suspect) they gave up and handed it back to KWG/Mulan. With it prices went from 600 rmb/night to 1.000 rmb/night. Unfortunately service took a serious noose dive and while it's still a nice location it's seen better days. It's getting old and it shows, shower without drain cover, taps that are rough, walls damaged and so on. I attached two pictures of a light fixture that the baby managed to just pull out the wall (it wasn't screwed in) showing the wiring and something I have no idea what it is, again showing the wiring all in the open ready for grabs. Wifi was rather sporadic, sometimes worked, sometimes shows link but won't work, sometimes simply no internet at all. Though it gets worse, service isn't either what it used to be. You can expect to carry your own luggage, staff is oblivious about requests and the "private" pool is now open for everyone. So expect suddenly a dozen or two locals in the pool at 8 in the morning before the sun shines or around 17:00. So relaxing in the pool is over. Now food, it's terrible. They have a Western menu in the restaurant but it's very very limited and restricted to typical "Western" Chinese dishes you don't want to try. Oddly enough roomservice is still very much the same as when Sheraton used to operate it. Though ordering is extremely painful, 1 phone call resulted in 2 calls back and an additional 2 visitations before we got the food. The food, well it was simply sad. The burgers were soaking on a bun with some unions. They had nothing further, no pickles, no tomatoes (except some cherry tomatoes) and some salad on the side. And a bunch of belgium cut fries unfortunately fried at a lower temperature so filled with oil. Dinner was simply not edible, the soup was brownish water, the spaghetti was overcooked and garnished with some ketchup and poorly diced tomato. Chinese food was ok though crazy priced, 68 rmb for a congee without the extra fee. Breakfast was again terrible. For the omelet they had the extra's you can put in though no onions nor cheese and the cook does it in an uncleaned pan. Simply lazy. The bread was ok. Though the cheese section had a sad old brie and some cold cuts covered in tiny flies. The manager was kind enough to remove the ordered dishes from the bill. Though I won't be coming back. I'm sure if you are a local and are happy with Chinese food it's ok. But otherwise just skip it.
