Vienna Hotel-Guangzhou Dadao Tianlong

I had a very bad and frightening experience at this hotel. In the middle of the night, while I was asleep, the staff knocked aggressively on my door and then forced their way into my room. I clearly told them not to disturb me, but they ignored it. They tried to take my card by force and entered my room without permission, which made me feel extremely unsafe. This behavior is completely unacceptable and a serious violation of privacy and security. I would never recommend this hotel to any tourist, especially for anyone traveling alone.

I have stayed in this hotel during a business trip in Guangzhou. Good location in walking distance from Tianhe and the shopping area around. Nice decorated lobby, descent rooms, clean and spacious. Construction works in the building during day caused noise and during night there were lorries to take out the debris.

It's a relatively small hotel with compact rooms. The ceiling in the hallway and the room is pretty low, which, provided the size of the room, makes you feel being in a confined space. My room was not the cheapest, but it didn't have some basic things like an iron or a safe box. Overall the room and the sheets were pretty clean. There was a plenty of light in the room. The hotel has a KTV and a restaurant on the lower floors. There are some small food stores within 5-10 mins walk. The staff at the reception had a limited fluency in English. Regular laundry service is more than a 24 hours wait and there is a 100% sur-charge for an express service.
