I stayed 2 nights during the end of Chinese New Year holiday as I learned that there would be drone show in Happy Valley near the hotel. The room rate is great (RMB350 which is about USD45). When I entered the hotel, wow! it looks so grand with high ceiling, fountains in the front and lots of flowers and gardening. I thought I went to the wrong hotel! My booking is in the East Wing which is not that new but still very good. At my request, I was given a room on highest floor 11/F from where sea could be seen afar. Clean room, spacious. Everything functional. I can see Hong Kong TV channels too which is a plus. An MTR station (no. 1 line) is right in the front of the hotel. Very convenient. The neighbourhood is rather quiet with limited choice of restaurants or eateries though. No shops around. The scenic spot "Splendid China - China Folk Culture Villages" is in the opposite side of the hotel. Theme park "Happy Vallye" is near too (12 mins walk). A big shopping mall is at the next MTR station or 15 mins away on foot. Walmart 10 mins away on foot.

A very satisfactory stay, the hotel lobby environment is good, reception Xiao Li service is so warm, check-in is fast, breakfast category is rich. The room is well equipped, the bed is soft, takeout can be delivered robotically to the door of the room, next time!

Opposite lies the Splendid China Folk Village, offering a rich cultural atmosphere, and the beautiful sea view is another highlight. Behind the property is Overseas Chinese Town, with convenient access to nearby stores, making the overall environment highly attractive. However, there is room for improvement in service details. While we were enjoying breakfast, a staff member replenished napkins directly in the middle of our table. This approach somewhat affected our dining experience. A more suitable method might have been to take the napkin holder to a nearby table for replenishment before returning it or waiting until guests finish their meal to perform such tasks. Although this is a minor detail, it can significantly impact the dining atmosphere. If more attention and refinement were given to service processes and etiquette, it would undoubtedly create a more comfortable and pleasant experience for guests.
