Unijoy Cityinn OCT-Loft

Stayed in Feb 2019. booked this hotel due to its outlook and relative location for us. The hotel has fulfilled that and nothing more. It has a photogenic lobby has large bay windows overlooking a street lined with trees. It is especially beautiful at night. The room itself was very standard. The bed was in the middle of the room and backed by a raised table. There was no power outlet close by for charging overnight. Beauty overrides practicality. The hygiene was so-so. Unless you intend to travel in the nearby districts, this is not a convenient hotel out of metro reach. The hotel was going through renovation as well during the time so it was noisy start at 09:30hrs in the morning.

The only good thing about this hotel is the location, other than that it's basically a place to leave your stuff, sleep at night, nothing more. It's a bit dodgy and unclean. Won't complain more since my friend and I were out all day, and the main reason of our stay was to explore Shenzhen.

The hotel looks ok. The lobby is small but it looks ok. Everyhing looks and seems to be ok, untill you get to the room. Mould everywhere. Ceiling in front of the bathroom was pretty much black from mould. Some parts you can see were just painted over. The smell in the room is bad also. It smells moist and mouldy. Window did not close completely. We had to change the room, but it only got a tad better. I would not stay in this hotel again and I would not recommend this to anyone, unless your options are sleeping outside or in this hotel, then maybe I would choose this hotel. I gave 2 points from 5 because all is ok before you get to the room.
