Bon-Garden Business Hotel Shenzhen

Large hotel facing Shenzen bay. We had a 20th floor suite facing the bay. Large, two toilets, shower, bath. All the usual toiletries, etc. A few cost extra, but are plainly priced. Not the most modern hotel, but solid. The breakfast was not good – especially for westerners (we only went once). If you want a no-smoking room you have to specify when you book. Only two lifts, so can get crowded at peak times. Good 3 stars.

Not exceptional, this is a good hotel for the rate. Rooms are on the larger size, there is free internet, though you need a code from the front desk), the rate includes an OK breakfast (no coffee), and it has a good ammenity array.. It is a a little dark, the friendly staff struggles with English, parking can be difficult, I was given a non-smoking room that had ashtrays and matches, and there is not enough elevator capacity for a 22 story hotel.

The room and hotel was clean, safe and friendly. But the service in the Boy Yuan chinese restaurant was terrible. When the inexpensive-moderately priced meat dish that I ordered was not avaialble, the waitress suggested a ridiculously over priced beef dish without letting me know the price difference ($60 USD). Very poor service. Post visit email correspondence in English with the hotel management was ineffective. Avoid the restaurant.
