City Inn Kexueguan Shenzhen

I had no trouble staying and sleeping in this place,. The room was large with a desk to work at. It was relatively quiet and I fell asleep straight away. The showers were hot and the room was clean, but i didn't really check for the common cigarette burns or other minor points. Wifi worked fine. This is comparable to a slightly worn out standard motorway service hotel in UK or Europe, but much better value!

Stayed here one night. 200rmb per night 400rmb deposit No one spoke a word of English! sorry just one NO. Room was ok but well worn, Carpet & walls were grubby. Linen & towels were clean but worn. Location is easy found & 7/11 next door is great. Staff were unhelpful & not interested This place has a self laundry, was told no. no use laundry service only... Asked to use one of the safes behide reception, even though they was one empty NO. Ohh & you get cards for prostitutes posted under your door. And there was two scantly clad ladies waiting outside at 11pm. Far better places available for same money.

We stayed here for 5 nights last week. Good Points:- - Location - heaps of restaurants in walking distance & metro stop about 200m walk away (exit C Science Museum) - Price - A good price (around $35 p/n) - Room - Spacious & clean. Cleaned each day when we went out - Early Check-in - we were allowed to check in at 7:30am on day of arrival. Very much appreciated after 38 hours on a train Bad Points:- - Breakfast - really average! - Privacy - we had a worker enter our room using a key and without knocking first. My husband was getting dressed after a shower and was pretty unhappy about it. They apologized but still felt a bit violated. - Lack of communication - we requested a late check out the day after we arrived. Check out day comes & we are being called at 12 to ask when we are checking out even though we already arranged to leave late. Then we head out for lunch, come back and our key doesn't work. Overall, not bad just a few problems that staff need to be aware of.
