Haitao Hotel Shekou

Just stayed for one night it has Great rooms. Good choice of mini bar. Restaurants had good variety of food. The staff hardly spoke English thanks to Google translator it helped... well located and near by to port.

The deposit required when I checked in for three nights in a suite was excessive, RMB 2000 instead of a sensible RMB 500 as other hotels require. There is no need for such a large deposit and the explanation given was arrogant and made no sense. Still, it is close to the ferry shuttle bus and Sea World. The breakfast was good.

The hotel is in a good location, walking distance to Shekou Ferry terminal and Metro "Shekou port", 5 minutes. Hotel is on a busy street that can be noisy during peak hours. The staff is polite and professional although not fluent in English but they try and definitely assist you. My room was a bit outdated but clean and spacious, bathroom was well equipped and a wide range of amenities were provided. Wi-Fi and drinking available. The breakfast buffet was simple but the food was well prepared and available in large quantity. If you are staying around the port for business, I definitely recommend it.
