Modern Classic Hotel Shenzhen

Arrive at hotel from train take exit C via Mall vs navigation roads and underpasses. Check in was challenging as no English and some debate over prepaid breakfast. Only two lifts dedicated for 27 floors with others for commercial business shared with hotel In dim lighting it's fairly impressive though not functional design eg bathroom toilet share the one sliding door at least on digital floor Lots of ware and tare in daylight View ok esp at night and has the city light show albeit in the distance Daily stocked free mini bar soft drinks and oreos Huge bed Near high end mall and 7/11 next door Breakfast very eastern leaning but has eggs and white bread Unlikely to return

This Hotel is just opposite The MixC Shopping Mall. A very classic hotel got many different theme of room on each level to choose from. Very spacious in room and mini bar are free to consume daily. I was staying in a Digital Room which lightning really romantic for a couple to enjoy. Could advise for man intend to propose for marriage to your girl booking in this Hotel.

We, a young professional gay couple in our 30s, visited Shenzhen in early January and stayed at the Modern Classic for three nights over a weekend, and truly enjoyed our excellent stay. The hotel was very chic, modern, comfortable, and very international/grand looking, a true five-star, at a slight discount (about 25%) from comparable Western brand hotels. However one caveat, both of us have some very basic knowledge of Chinese/Mandarin, without which the stay would have been challenging, as most staff spoke very little English, and most signage were in Chinese only. The hotel seems to cater to wealthy domestic travellers rather than foreign tourists. ROOM: We stayed in a room on the “Digital”, which happens to be the top floor. The room was true to the photos on the website, uber futuristic looking, very chic, very thoughtfully decorated. It was a very spacious room, large enough to entertain a few guests, with open concept bathroom area, and a round bathtub in the living room area. While the room looks futuristic, I did not notice any amenities that were exceptional high-tech. Being on the top floor our room had a nice view of the nearby highend shopping malls/commercial buildings. The wifi in the room worked well. The king size bed was comfortable. Overall, the room was comfortable, luxurious feeling space. The complimentary snacks/fruit and mini-bar was a nice touch LOCATION – Situated just north of the border of Hong Kong (we could see Hong Kong from our hotel room) in Luohu district, it is quite conveniently located. A number of subway stops on three different lines are within walking distance. There are a few up-scale/western looking shopping centres and lots of nice restaurants in the immediate vicinity. There are also plenty of more economical/local dining options just a few minute walk away, as there are a fair bit of residential buildings nearby. The super busy Dongmen shopping area (mostly locals) and the shopping area next to the Luohu crossing (mostly tourist traps) are both about 15 minutes walk from the hotel. Service/Facilities – The public area of the hotel (lobby, hallway) were all quite nicely decorated. The lobby was super modern. Front-desk staff were friendly, though as noted spoke very little English. Check-in and check-out were both efficient. Housekeeping staff were diligent and accommodating (of our night-owl schedule). The buffet breakfast was a bit haphazard, however, and for some reason, only one came with the room cost even though we clearly indicated two guests.
