Royal Hotel

You hear about these Ghost Towns that China is building all over China. Well now you can experience one. This hotel is very nice and has lovely ground surrounding it. The rooms are quite large and somewhat modern. There are no elevators so you have to drag your luggage up three flights of stairs if you get an upper floor. Also, they turn off the lights on the stairs and hallways (not many people staying at this hotel) so you have to know where all the light switches are in order to find your room at night. Our room had a small sitting room in addition to the bedroom, but the tv was missing the cable to connect to the wall so no tv available. Tried to explain to the front desk but the language barrier was a problem. I did show it to the person cleaning the room and they did nothing about it. The breakfast was very good with lots of Chinese food to choose from, but little in western food. I preferred the Chinese food but other people from the states were disappointed and only had a cup of tea. At night the environment is a Ghost City with no one anywhere and no businesses open. We walked down the middle of the main street and never saw a car or a person !!!! And most of the buildings were dark. A few building has a couple of lights on upstairs but mostly it was dark. A new modern Ghost Town. Went out looking to buy a bottle of water to brush our teeth and could not find anything, anywhere.
