Vienna Hotel Chunfeng Branch

The hotel was nice and located to our work area, it has option for smoking and non smoking room. Prefer single rooms if your partner smokes. The staff was cooperative even though they are not good at English but will make all efforts to make you understand. You need to have good patience and try language translator to communicate. All in all good place to stay.

This is a belated review. I stayed in this hotel last July. Book the Single Room @ 278rmb. - Door to the closet was spoilt. The stopper for the hotel door was fixed at the bottom of the closet. The metal nearly cut n trip me a few times. - Carpet was dusty. - Foul air coming out from ventilation system. Like faeces smell. - Noisy at night because near road. - Security is non-existent. I find there is a snooker parlour outside the floor lift lobby. Many shady characters in and out. - Room looks very dated. The only good thing is it is very near outlets such as Mc D and KFC and some other restaurants nearby. So easy to look for something to eat. Verdict : Can get better deal staying at other hotel nearby. This hotel simply doesnt deserve such high price tag.

Hotel is located about 15 minutes walk from Louhu Railway Station, and the Lowu/Hong Kong border. Metro/subway about 5 minutes walk from hotel. The hotel mainly caters to chinese clients. Front desk staff speaks little or no English. Rooms are quite large, and with fridge, water boiler, safe, TV (cantonese and mandarin channels only), free internet (but no wifi), aircon. Very nice bed and mattress. Marble bathroom. Smoking rooms only. Several restaurants outside the hotel, but in the same building. If you walk to the left when exiting the hotel, there are two urumqi (chinese muslim) restaurants around the corner. If you walk the other way, there are some chinese style restaurants, of which one has specialized in frogs. McDonalds, KFC and other junk food joints just 4-5 minutes walk from the hotel. At each floor, there is an area just where you exit the elevators. At the 6th floor it is for billiards playing, 7th floor is bar/lounge (chinese style), and so on. Several beauty parlors at the hotel as well. Good value compared with the competition in town, but staff has a lot to learn when it comes to hospitality. So go there for the room, not the service. No bellboys available.
