Crowne Plaza Wing On City Zhongshan

Our G4F trip to China this year was a 9D/8N schedule with our first stop in Zhongshan. Trip attracted 40 persons with 30 golfers and escorts. We stayed the first night in Zhongshan and next four nights in Crown Plaza. This hotel is in an excellent location for our group. The breakfast is more local than international. Notice all the yoghurts passed the expiry dates. We could find all things we need from China to bring home. From this location,we played another three golf games. The major snack for us is that there are no English speaking person at the front desk.

I have stayed at Wing On City Crowne Plaza several times since my last review ( A Home Away From Home). So this lengthy review is for the years I missed to write one !!!! Every time, the staff and management have gone above and beyond to make everyone welcome and feel at home. The Hotel is always clean, very well maintained and every little detail is checked. The breakfast buffet is plentiful with international cuisine in mind. Many healthy choices as well as other wonderful goodies. The restaurant on the second floor is amazing and "High Tech". ( There is a little robot delivering food which I found it to be cute). While there, I enjoyed the atrium with live subtle music. (A great way to unwind while sipping on a beverage) The hotel also has a concept I have never seen before, "Healthfication" and Sportfication !!!!! Intentionally spelled that way !!!! Wherein companies send their employees to WOCP for checkup at the Zhongshan Hospital (one of the best in China) for annual checkup ! And other for companies who want to have a "company sponsored" golf tournament or just an outing. The last day of our stay there was an event at the hotel. Although there were hundreds in attendance, it was so professionally and efficiently handled, we did not feel crowded. Kudos to management and staff. Specially, Sunny, Andy and Chloe !!

Great albeit older hotel with good room facilities and bathroom. Breakfast buffet is OK. Staff at reception speak some English and international credit card is accepted. On balance, a good hotel....
