With friends, this Guilin Shangri-La hotel was chosen and the service and facilities were satisfactory. During our stay, we are very grateful to Luo Hongping's little sister for arranging the beautiful room. At the same time, during our stay, she was able to respond to our questions in a timely manner and provide corresponding solutions, which we appreciate and are satisfied with. Thank the housekeeper Xie Minjian sister is very thoughtful and patient to answer relevant tourism knowledge; thank the guestroom department Qin Linghua manager is particularly professional, hygiene aspects of management are in place. Thank you to the room attendant Li Donglin for his dedication and hospitality, very careful cleaning of the room and warm greetings to us every time. Thank you to Yu Bar's bartender Liang Suzhuang for her hospitality and professional bartending skills, so we can taste a good wine and drink. I think the hospitality and courtesy, good service attitude, cleanliness, perfect facilities, beautiful environment is an indispensable condition of a quality hotel, and this hotel has done all of these.

I’m a local Guilin resident and a regular guest at Li Café and Shang Palace. On May 27, I booked a table for five at Li Café for May 29. On the day of the booking (noon), a male staff member called to cancel my reservation because a 200-person group would be dining that night. When I asked why I wasn’t informed at the time of booking, his excuse was that the group was confirmed after my reservation — which is hardly believable for such a large group only 1.5 days in advance. He didn’t apologize sincerely, just told me to cancel. No alternative, no empathy. I understand Guilin has limited 5-star hotel options (mainly Shangri-La and Sheraton duopoly), but this level of service is far below what I’ve experienced at other Shangri-La hotels. Isn't F&B an important revenue contribution for the local market? Disappointing for a loyal local customer.
