Yangshuo Tangrenjie Hotel

I stayed in this hotel for one night. I had a room with a balcony that overlooked the river except you couldn't see it due to several trees. The room was obviously a smoking room with the lingering smell and the ashtray. The room was spacious, clean and had a big bed although it was quite hard. The decor in the room was very run down, wallpaper peeling from the walls in places and damage to the bottom of the doors. The location was not bad; it was about 500m from the bridge which allows a fabulous view of the Li river with the limestone karsts in the background. About 1000m in the opposite direction was West Street, the main centre of Yangshuo, lots of bars, restaurants and shops In summary, if you want luxury, certainly do not stay here but if you are looking for a good value place to stay in Yangshuo, this is a good option

Booked here for 2 nights..it is directly opposite Li jiang river cruise...hotel has had its days but its ok for a couple of nights. We stayed in the deluxe room facing the river, room was clean and bed was enormous and comfortable. Staff were attentive. Choice between chinese buffett breakfast or western set breakfast.. The draw card for me was meeting a very lovely tour operator directly opposite the hotel. This lady went out of her way to show us the best places to go and she soent a good 2 hours with us conversing (albeit she doesnt speak english) but we had someone who spoke mandarin. At the end of it she didnt expect anything off us..highly recommended to buy all tour tickets off her, she got us the li jang cruise for 100rmb pp (usually 120rmb) and it was a private boat for ourselves she even got us past the crowded lines. We rented a electric motorbike for 50rmb for the whole day and we drove about 60kms visiting every attraction, hiring one is highly recommended. She was one of the most friendly, kind and honest person i have met in a while. Even if your not staying at the hotel make an effort to visit her. Show her the pic attached and she will look after you..

Old really Chinese hotel. Old elevator with dirty carpet, old rooms with curtains with holes, bed very old and hard, not soft. We had to chance room twice. First our room lock didn't work. Second airco of daughters room didn't work and the temperature was almost 35 degrees because the sun was also shining in the room. The rooms didn't have a safe. We didn't got a view on the River. Every thing was dirty. Even the swimmingpool. Fungus. They need bleach! We slept there 3 nights. It was already arranged in Holland. The first two days they put us in a seperate place to have American Breakfast alone. It tasted very bad. Then we found out there was a Chinese Breakfast buffet. It was much better. The only plus is that it is situated near the river and not in the very noisy and busy Village center. We could walk to the center easily.
