GreenTree Inn Guiyang Xiaoshizi Hotel

Only stayed here one night as I was in transit. Paid a walk in rate of 238 CNY which I thought was a little high for the quality of the room. Nothing wrong with the room, or the hotel in general, but the rooms are definitely out-dated and smell musty. The linen and towles are very worn as ND should be replaced. No breakfast included but free bottled water and tea was available in the room. The Wi-Fi worked fine but the hot water was just barely got.

After 7 hours delay at Beijing airport we arrived at the hotel at 20.00 hour. The staff was very helpful and started to look for the reservation, They needed 145 yuan on top of the room rate as a guarantee, but i was returned to me the next morning. The room was clean and the bathroom was redecorated. The hotel does not offer breakfast but in the streets are many small noodle shops to get a tasty breakfast. The hotel accept bank and credit cards, they also helped with writing down directions in the city to show to the taxi driver.The location is good many shops, restaurants and bars are nearby, in the night it is noisy, better close the windows. Recommended.

Although they spoke no English in this hotel (as with this whole area of China) staff went out of their way to assist us in finding a guide for our day tour to Kaili. Rooms were small but comfortable and clean with good showers in clean bathrooms. Location was central with plenty of restaurants nearby. This is a typical Chinese hotel, not upmarket but good value and a good base.
