Shangri-La Hotel, Haikou

I was in this Hotel few times, every time im very happy about stay, Great location next to beach and exhibition center. Hotel offers lolt af activities like hot spring, indoor and outside pool, big gym with sauna and hot jacuzzi. tasty breakfast , Chef Tom always look after best quality. Staff can speak english so You can feel comfortable and very welcome . always hellpfull and polite front desk - special thanks for FOM Ms Linda i realy recomend this hotel for long and short stay, Hotel really appriciate loyal Accor members,,Really everything is fine there thanks for care of GM Mr Billy. With pleasure i will come back

I flew to this hotel in February of 26, towards the end of this month and impressions of this place are very mixed. One of the most important things about the hotel is the staff, they are very friendly, kind and always ready to help. Many times I had to contact the reception and always helped, for which special thanks to the staff! The room is a very spacious network of two sinks, bathroom and shower, so to speak for all tastes. The reception, lobby and dining room look very nice and pleasant. Marble, large chandeliers, beautiful paintings, but once you go down the hallway to the room, everything changes wallpaper in some places with swelling, stains on the carpets, which causes a complete misunderstanding of what is happening. From the outside the hotel is beautiful, but this applies to the main entrance, where if you talk about the exterior, on the other hand, it is directly bad - you need to at least wash the walls, as they are all in some incomprehensible spots, the roof is crawling, in some places something sprouts and it is directly visible. The poolside bar was down for the rest of our holidays, which is weird. The pool itself was not heated and it was cold to swim there periodically. But the area by the pool (the hotel garden) looks nice, neat and very green. Around the pool everything is well arranged, which is very pleasant and the main find was the thermal springs right on the property. The indoor pool is spacious and the water is heated there. The gym didn't feel like air conditioning. The mechanism for getting towels by the pool isn't working very well yet, you need to contact the staff to get them to you, but we were once told that the towels were out, once told that they were coming and never got them. Now about the beach by the sea - according to the pictures by the hotel has its own beach, but it is not so it across the street and crossing is not directly convenient and plus it is a public beach where locals forage for clams and sometimes fish that makes you not always want to swim there, but to be fair, as far as I know in China it is not very common to swim in the sea. Location - I think the hotel is more suitable for local tourists, as local cuisine I do not always have to like due to the addition of a lot of oil, then there is no European cuisine nearby, it is necessary to drive to the city, which takes 30 minutes. There's a lot of abandoned or unfinished buildings nearby, which also looks strange, but in Haikou I've come across it a lot. It is always possible to order food in the room service, but it there compared to Chinese prices is sensitive, but generally not bad (in places), as some dishes taste good for example fish (188 yuan), but the burger (108 yuan) looks not very attractive and more like homemade and not the most delicious. Each time the fish was served differently, then the sauce was different, then there was none, then poured it directly on the fish and each time the sauce changed, as did the addition to the fish, which made the order not very predictable each time. In general, this hotel has both its pros and cons, I am pleased with the trip to this hotel, but I would not come here again.

I stayed in this beautiful Hotel for few days only, but i was really suprised how nice and good my stay was. First of all Hotel is huge and all in classic style , Location is great, next to beach, cdf mall and comfortable way to city center. Hotel offer very nice and comfortable rooms, lot of activities like gym, sauna , pools - indoor and outdoor,and very unique place - real hot spring water pools. Breakfast is located at ground floor wirh view for garden and sea behind, everyone will find something for themself like western and local delicious kitchen. Hotel fully respect Accor benefits and follow individual guests preferences . I was almost in all Fairmonts Hotels in south east Asia regio and honestly i can tell that food in this Hotel was the best one - here i would like send special thanks for Mr David F&B Director who showed us best local ,China and other kitchen . Very kind and always ready for help stuff ( most of hotel team speak english ) made my stay as comfortable as possible. Special thans for Mr Bevis Lu who every day care that my stay was really great.
