Personal review of Palm Beach Resort & Spa 4*, Sanya (Hainan) I do not recommend this hotel, especially accommodation in the Annex Building (Garden View) - a 3-storey building. We lived in the period 20.02.26-27.02.26 g - exactly in the Annex Building. The furniture in the room is very old, the condition of the room and the building itself is worn out, everything needs major renovation. It feels like it hasn't been repaired in years. Wi-Fi is virtually non-existent. The internet doesn't work at all in the room. If you go down to the main building in the lobby, the connection can work for a maximum of 15–20 minutes, and then only to send messages quickly in the messenger. Without a VPN, the hotel internet is virtually useless – many apps don't open. Over mobile Internet: Hotel guides sell a 10GB SIM card for 120 yuan. In the center of the city, the same volume can be bought for about 80 yuan. We bought from a guide and overpaid. Breakfast is a big disappointment. I went down once: when entering the kitchen area you smell a strong unpleasant smell of old oil, your appetite immediately disappears. Biscuits and pies look like underbaked. Coffee (both latte and ordinary) is very low quality, tastes unpleasant. Service is weak. Russian-language hotel guides behave incorrectly: if you don't buy tours from them, your questions are simply ignored. At the reception, the shampoo was brought only after the third appeal. Location: The beach is approximately 700 metres away. There are sandy (beach) fleas on the beach - they bite. Entry into the water is not the cleanest, it is more comfortable to swim on other beaches. The only upside is good cleaning. The room is cleaned thoroughly, the towels are changed every day. Useful information for tourists: Dadonghai can be reached by bus number 125 (exit in 3 stops) and further by bus number 108 to the Pineapple stop. It is best not to change money at hotel guides (we were offered $100 = 670 yuan). In Dadonghai District, the exchange was $100 = 685 yuan. The mall has a Panda Cafe - very delicious freshly squeezed juices (mango, coconut, etc.), 15 yuan for 600 ml. Overall impression: The hotel does not meet level 4*. When choosing a holiday in Sanya it is better to consider other accommodation options.

We would like to warn all tourists planning a holiday with tour operator "PAKS" (PAKS) in China. We relaxed at the PALM BEACH RESORT & SPA in February 2026 (requests Nos. 216762, 216761).   At an official info meeting at the hotel, hotel guide Alexander sold us a tour of the Nanshan Buddhist Center (held on 08.02.2026). We paid in cash, trusting the official representative of a major tour operator. As it turned out later, for nothing.   What you get for your money: Silent guide: The tour guide (also Alexander) told me about 10 minutes of the day. We studied all the information ourselves from maps and stands. Absurd timing: At the first point, which we beat in 40 minutes, we were given two hours -- we ended up just sitting on the shops. But the huge temple complex was allocated only 15 minutes! Cheating on the program: The Nepal Temple, which is stated in the program, simply passed by as the guide decided that there was "no time". But the time for the gift shops at the end of the trip was immediately found. Hiding evidence: At the end of the trip the guide took our voucher confirming payment. PAX reaction: Upon our return, we wrote a claim, to which we received an official unsubscription (ref. No. 663 of 17.02.2026) signed by Director General V.V. Chizhikov. In response, PAX cynically states that the tour was “not booked or paid for” in their system.   Outcome: Official PAKS guides trade "left" tours directly at info meetings, embezzling money for themselves and providing services of disgusting quality. And PAX itself is simply washing its hands of saying that it is not responsible for the actions of its employees.   If you don't want to spend your vacation sitting on a bench for your own money, don't buy anything from PAX hotel guides in Sanya. A perfectly normal hotel! The whining feedback is a different story. There will always be whining. The old one is, but it's not a 5rka, it's not a bad 3.5! Cleaning is good, everything works, breakfast is dinner, for China - quite decent. I've been to 16 countries around the world, China three times, twice before on the mainland. Hainan resort, a very standard and understandable for a Russian man resort with local color. You want the 25th century? Go to Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Shanghai. Here expect Turkey, Egypt, etc., but much more pleasant in terms of locals. The hotel has one significant downside - 1 of the two pools is not working, but it is not scary, there is a second and the sea. The hotel store is very cheap! For 1.5 months of living on the mainland among the locals, the prices are essentially the same! Don't like the uniformity of hotel food? Go and be sure to try the local restiches (round table, samovar in shopping mall #1, etc.). Eden travels quite adequate company, Dmitri says everything straight without pomp and divorce. You don't like it? Go straight to Lesha on the beach, only if you get your finger bitten off by a monkey on an island, don't run back to Dimitri whining. * and in front of me, not the most Russian girl of about 15 went to tease a monkey and that vein bit into her wrist.
