Sanya International Hotel

Got upgraded room with fantastic view to phoenix. Room with balconi. Friendly staff. Location next to sanya shopping mall and near tram station which link to sanya high speed railway station. Good value with sea view. Cons = old hotel but it is fine.

It is in the town area and close to main shopping area. The night market and a large shopping Centre is next door. Basic comfort level. It is fairly large but definitely not 5*. Staff are helpful but not always friendly...due to lack of training. The hotel manager Bella was extremely helpful when we needed her help. Taxis are hard to come by even despite its location. Buses are across the road but beware of pickpockets . Taxi foyer is at ground floor whereas reception is at 4th floor. V Basic Chinese type breakfast. Restaurants are very average. The hotpot buffet is good value at 75y pp but quality is very average. Overall it is a convenient and cheap hotel but not luxurious.

Location of the hotel is super as the bus stop to Dadonghai are to the left of the hotel and to the right of the hotel, you get buses to Tianya Haijiao and Nan Shan Cultural Tourism zone. The night market (not exciting as the products are of low quality) is to the left of the hotel. Hotel room is spacious and clean. Go early for breakfast if you want to avoid the tourist groups. Breakfast is a decent spread and they have freshly cooked eggs. One downside, if you're not using the hotel's concierge service, you have to walk to the main road to hail a taxi. They cannot get the taxi for you.
