Staying here for the first time; have another 10 days to go. I’m not here for the resort or family vacation aspect. It’s near the hospital where a relative is staying. I do speak Mandarin, so I can communicate just fine, but am not certain of the English speaking capability of the staff. Staff are polite and respectful. There are plaques displayed in the lobby touting this property being a top rated resort for 2025. I haven’t stayed in many properties around Wuhan, but this one appears to be above average in the following areas: cleanliness, staffing and physical property maintenance. It must be low season right now - not many guests that I can see. My room is a spacious twin room with a balcony garden view. There is a mini fridge (empty), complimentary water bottles (I’m a Hilton Honors member). The a/c works fine and the doors to the balcony open with a latched screen door. It’s pleasant to hear the birds calling. The bathroom is spacious with separate stalls for toilet and shower. There is a bathtub in the corner. My room is quiet at night. Breakfast is included in the room rate. As others have noted, there are more Chinese food items than Western, but in general the food tasted fine. Hours are from 6:30 to 10. I usually ate there before 7. It’s a huge restaurant but I never saw more than a dozen people at any one time. There is an Executive lounge, which unless you pay for an Executive or Club room, is a separate daily charge of approximately $25. It is only open from 12:30pm to 11:30pm. I checked it out the first night. Dinner buffet starts at 5:30, and consisted of 5 + cold items, Western tossed salad, 5 -6 hot dishes, mostly Chinese, 2 soups, noodles, steamed meat buns, rice, and some Western style pastries. Beverages included alcoholic and nonalcoholic choices. There are 2 restaurants closed for the season, so the only restaurant open for dinner is the fancy Cantonese restaurant. It’s pricey. There is a limited room service menu that is ok, but boring after 2 days. I would say this is the primary weakness of this property. Perhaps in high season when the other restaurants are open (one is Italian), you can get some variety. All in all, this place checks off a lot of my requirements. There is only laundry service for per piece items, so that’s another drawback for me. Comfortable and clean, slightly worn but pretty well maintained. Hope this review helps those of you traveling to the area. It’s a 30 minute taxi ride to the city, but much more peaceful.

Our third visit in 18 months and some areas of the hotel in urgent need of a revamp, repair, or maintenance Bedrooms very good,beds very comfortable, book a lake view is best. Breakfasts used to have a good range of western style food, but limited now. Outside areas in need of maintenance with tripping hazards, barbed wire, and a tired looking pool area. In hotel food purchase overpriced. Extensive gardens are great, but there is limited lake access due to big hotel bbq and coffee venue. Lake side location and countryside feel only 15km from the centre is welcoming. Staff are very friendly and helpful which is the best part of the hotel
