GreenTree Inn Luoyang Peony Square

Went to Luoyang to see the Shaolin Temple and wanted a cheap hotel since we only stayed 2 nights. We picked this hotel and although it was cheap I would rather recommend other people to spend just a little more money to get a more decent stay. The room was not clean enough and felt damp with a lovely smokey smell. Out bathroom was very dirty as the door to the shower cabin was missing and every time you took a shower the water was all over the room. If you need a soft bed, find another hotel as the beds are very hard. The hotel had a cheap 10 or 15 Rmb breakfast which we didn't tried. One good thing about the hotel is that it is close to good street food at night. You can get a bowl of great noodles for 6-10 Rmb, cold Luoyang beer 3-5 Rmb just 100 meter from the hotel. Can't say I can recommend the hotel but I do like the area where it is located as you will find not only good street food but also good restaurants and a few bars/cafés in the area.

A cute, friendly hotel in a nice town. Clean rooms and friendly staff, and free (but slow) internet.

We stayed one night at this hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful however the room wasn't very clean. The carpets looked like they hadn't been vacummed for a while. The next day we discovered the bedsheets weren't clean either. The hotel is located in a nice area with a good selection of restaurants. The hotel was cheap though at 170 Yuan for a night.
