I do not not have high expectations being in a third tier city of Luoyang, but I should have set them much much higher. Let me list down some examples: - Free transfer to and from the airport or train station or if you drive, free thorough car wash - Seeing my loose medication, a brand new pill box magically appeared next to it - The check-in receptionist accompanied me to my room, bringing along my luggage. She reminded me that I have 50 RMB worth of free laundry daily and I can accumulate them for the whole stay and use it all at once. - Free, unlimited fruits and snacks - just scan the QR code in the room and they deliver it to your room pronto - You can’t have a bad day returning to the hotel because everybody will give you amazing smiles as they greet you from the entrance to the lobby to the elevator - A thoughtful departure gift of a big juicy apple and water to make sure I will not go hungry - Special mention to the driver who brought me to the station - he made sure that I’m comfortable and let me know in advance the traffic was smooth, the estimated time of arrival and helped me with my luggage Being a lifetime elite member of international brands, and having stayed at the top-tier hotels in tier-1 cities as well as around the world, I have yet to encounter this level of exceptional personalized service. This is Chinese hospitality at its best and I must say that it is significant better than what I’ve experienced anywhere else.

I recently that hotel, first impression was so do. Huge reception lobby and everything look fancy like most of hotels in China. Room was big and neat and old style with view over park next to hotel. Reason why I give 5 star is service. It was amazing g good, fresh fruit at Room every day, if room cleaner notice something missing she bring it without asking (at my case, toothpaste tube was almost empty, room cleaner brought to without asking a gadget to squeeze paste out from tube and spare toothpaste). Breakfast was combination of Chinese and Western food and good enough. Location is also good, close enough at old Town. I strongly recommend this hotel.

I would echo previous reviews in being happily surprised by the welcome on check in- very solicitous porters and assistants . We were brought tea and hot flannels whilst being checked in and given a menu to order from for free snacks and drinks. The reception area is palatial- the rooms a little dated but the bed was very comfortable and the pillows perfect- they have a pillow menu! The customer service in this hotel is outstanding . Even though the bathroom was dated the shower was good and Powerful- everything worked . The hotel is in a good position for shops and food. Breakfast was good- lots of variety -I particularly liked the yoghurt. Overall I would be very happy to stay again.
