Xiangquan Hotel

It was late winter and the room was freezing, the shower was so terrible it took tens minutes to warm up and there was barely any pressure from it. The amount of water that I would of wasted waiting for it to go warm was stupidity I did complain about it and they said all rooms are the same (considering the shower was in a bathtub as well was gross). I left as quick as I could in the morning was supposed to stay there for 4 nights. This was very cheap and nasty hotel...I am not sure what the upper-class rooms would of been like but I would not recommend this Hotel to the standard person.

The hotel was nice, rooms were nice, staff very nice but no one spoke English. I mean no one. We were there with an adoption group so had to stay a whole week. We thought we'd all kill ourselves at about the end of the week because the food in the hotel is atrocious. EXCEPT for the room service grilled cheese sandwich or the club sandwich, both with fries. We ate that every day. Couple of cases of food poisoning in our group eating in the dining room for dinner it was the pork chop! Great hotel, but food is a no-no. Eat off site!

Stayed there during our adoption travel to China 2001. Xiangquan Hotel was a very positiv experience. The food was very good and the staff was very willing to help. A little trubbel with the english language but Hunan is no greater turist province. The hotel is placed very down town. The best hotel of four I have stayed at in China.
