Zidongge Huatian Hotel

Well they say first impressions is everything and this hotel certainly made an impression. I mean it smells of secondhand smoke from cigerettes and the rooms are not clean. There are better hotels out there so think before you book. The breakfast was ok hence the 2 stars.

I have stayed at this hotel 4 times in the past 6 years. Every time I check out they argued with me over additional charges that I had paid for. I keep giving this hotel a second change B/C it is a good hotel. In July 2016 they never refunded my 300 RMB deposit at checkout because they could only operate the credit card terminal to charge, not refund, LOL August 2018, they attempted to charge me 1800 RMB for services that my wife, a Changsha native, and I paid for at the front desk with a credit card after each use for a hotel service. I produced credit card receipts for laundry, room service, and spa, for the 1800 RMB and they just gave me the frozen deer in the headlight look. My wife and I walked out with them owing me about 160 RMB from my 500 RMB deposit while demanding 1800 RMB more. Had I owed them 1 RMB and walked out, this White man would be stuck in a Changsha jail cell. It is really a shame for the hotel is a good 3-star hotel, being a 25-year-old former 4-star hotel. The room rates are a value, the sheets and towels are soft, the rooms are clean, the mattress is good, the staff is otherwise accommodating. Yet it is possible to get a room that has not been updated, or completely remodeled, which happened this trip. despite the good value my wife and I will never give this particular Huatian Hotel our business again. Now the Huatian Hotel on 300 East Jiefang Road, is most excellent and double the rate of the aforementioned Huatian.

This Zidongge Huatian Hotel is strategically located with Good environment. It is near to The Railway Station. There are few Restaurant & shopping complex Within walking distance. Hotel staff are helpful.
