Regalia Resort And Spa Qinhuai River

Stay away from this dark and dreary Regalia complete with workers on scaffold looking in. Rude and unhelpful reception amidst a noisy restaurant celebration. Don't open fridge--it smells. No sympathy from front desk. Alas, forgot to bring two breakfasts. Tried to cancel second night, but no deal. Hot tub not bad. Not far from other Nanjing sites but well worth staying away from this one.

Positives of this small luxury hotels are; great view of Qinhuai river and the city wall!, close to Confucius temple area, near Gate of China, free parking, hot spring style bath pit inside room. Downsides (during our stay) are; hotel under maintenance (literally the whole road was under construction and difficult to find this hotel, thanks to Auto Navi!), no spa, no western breakfast. Our feeling was this hotel is not close to a resort! Very friendly hotel staff though! at least two men at front desk speak English.

Superior river view suite: sooooo reasonably priced, amazing bath-tub, delicious breakfast in bed - and incredibly accommodating staff (we'd lost credit card, needed to change flights, change travel plans - all last minute anc v stressful for us ignorant westerners!). The staff here helped us to solve everything!! Totally to recommend:)
