Garden Hotel

We stayed at this hotel as part of a tour group. The hotel itself is quite nice. There is a piano bar in the lobby but it only sold one type of beer or soft drinks. Unusual not to have a better selection. The room was also nice but others on our tour had rooms that smelled like cigarettes. Our beds were rock hard, so were very uncomfortable. I would not recommend staying here unless you like sleeping on a rock.

Amazing 5 star hotel with beautiful gardens. The hotel staff are excellent and meet all your needs. The rooms are very spacious and very well appointed. The hotel is situated amongst several busy shopping and dining streets. It is in close proximity to Suzhou’s major tourist attractions.

Fantastic location, modern amenities, friendly and responsive staffs. My family, friends, and I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. The 10 of us occupied 5 rooms of different levels and we found the room sizes are adequate. The hotel is non-smoking. However, one of the rooms (6218) we checked into was reeked of cigarette stench. We promptly informed the front desk and it was addressed immediately. The hotel generously upgraded my dad to the penthouse suite. I enjoyed my stay here and I wish the front desk could better explain the hotel facility at check-in. I didn’t realize there is a gym and temperature control swimming pool at the hotel until the day of check out. The hotel breakfast spread was generous, fresh, and provided a lot of varieties. Furthermore, we also had a fabulous dinner at the hotel restaurant Soo1929. The 10 of us spent about 1200 RMB for the dinner which I considered a good value. The ambiance of the restaurant was classy yet relaxing and the staffs were professional. This hotel is conveniently located on 十全街， where 网师园 is located a mere few hundreds meters away and 沧浪亭is only about 20 minutes walk. This hotel is modern and yet full of history. I thoroughly enjoyed the guided tour by Xu TianTian. I would stay at this hotel again if I ever visit Suzhou again in future.
