Jinjiang Inn Suzhou Guanqian Street

This hotel is well located in the heart of the city Centre so most if the attractions can be done on walking distance. Good close connection to the metro system.the only downside was that we had to ask and explain that we want a non-smoking room. The one we got first was an absolute no-go

Stayed here for 3 nights, it is located less than 5 minutes walk away from metro station and short walk to Guanqian Street. It also has a nice and cheap noodle shop right beside (it's shown in the profile picture, but you'll have to communicate in Mandarin). The hotel location is quiet, but due to the metro construction nearby, the main road is chaotic with walkway partially sealed. But there is a short cut to the metro station via a back alley next to police stations (the hotel is surrounded by a few police stations in the compound). As for the room, it's reasonably spacious, though amenities are bare bone, I expect mugs for brewing tea, but only paper cups are provided. No free bottled water, but you can refill them at the lobby. The hotel doesn't make up your bed at all, although they do clean up the room and replace the towels. No carpet, so your feet will feel cold over cold season, and the thin paper slipper doesn't help much. Having said that, the staffs are exceptionally nice and friendly, providing good transport advice, and rejected my tips when I asked for extra blankets and cloth hangers! I'm giving the hotel quality 3 stars, with one extra star for the helpful staffs as well as the bargain price I paid, who strive to make our stay enjoyable! Wifi average in the room I stay, but don't expect good connection. I took a picture to locate the hotel with ease, but please do not use it for commercial purpose.
