Suzhou Glamor Hotel

At under $50USD per night, this hotel was pretty good. The lobby was nice, the rooms were clean. We rented 3 rooms, 1 was great, the two other rooms reeked of cigarette smoke, and one of them had a weird chemical smell. We checked out other rooms that were available to move to, but they all had cigarette/funky smells. There was mold in the bathrooms and the shower enclosure leaked a lot of water. For the price, we got what we expected. We moved to the Wyndham the next day and the rooms were much much better, but keep in mind it was almost double the price.

Really nice hotel. Extremely clean, the rooms are modern and clean. The location is near shops but we took cabs into the nightlife and really were able to feel as a local. The city transforms at night. The hotel staff was great. Breakfast was really good too. There is free wifi and it works really good. We were a large group and all of us were able to log on at the same time without killing the strength of the signal. I highly recommend this hotel.

It seems that it depends on which room gets allocated to determine the quality of the stay. We had a good time with a clean room and no troubles at all. The restaurant is rather average. Bed is fine but beware of the mosquitos so keep the windows shut.
