GreenTree Inn Yangzhou Dongguan Street Yangzhou Mansion Hotel

First of all there are two Greentree Inns On Wengshang Road. After a harrowing cab ride from the bus station, we were taken to the one that had no record of our reservation, where we were subsequently accommodated with another cab to our hotel(we had to pay, but cabs are cheap in China). The location was further from Narrow West Lake, but it was close to the old gate and Dongguan St, which is the heart of the old town. The first week of April was very cold in Yangzhou and the hotel lobby was as cold as the street outside.Our rooms were adequate in size and basic amenities but showed considerable lack of maintenance(i.e. broken baseboards). There was also a hole in the floor next to the elevator shaft that gave no indication that it was under repair. Breakfast was strictly for those accustomed to a Chinese buffet. But hey, the price was right(about USD35.00)and the location turned out to be convenient.
