Holiday Inn Resort Changbaishan

I stayed at Holiday Inn Express Changbaishan with my family of 9 people. Overall, the hotel was clean, with decent room amenities. I stayed in an individual room on Level 5. While the staff were friendly, helpful, and efficient in cleaning the rooms, the main issue was the room temperature. Despite setting the air conditioning panel to 35°C, the room still felt extremely cold, like it was around 10°C, even after an hour. This made it difficult to warm up the room, especially in such cold weather. On the positive side, the hotel offers great facilities: Self-service laundry area on Level 1 for guests who want to do their own laundry. A movie room on Level 1 where guests can relax and even nap while watching movies. A small fitness gym with 2 treadmills and a multi-station weight machine. A mini-mart in the lobby that sells daily essentials and ski gear like falling cushions and goggles. The hotel is also linked to a ski playground, which is perfect for families and beginners. For those heading to the main ski attractions, there’s a shuttle bus service available, which is very convenient. Do note that the hotel is very busy during the day, especially in the ski season, so early check-ins are unlikely, which is reasonable given the demand. Breakfast was fairly standard, resembling a typical international breakfast buffet with enough variety to start the day. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and had a nice experience. The cleanliness, friendly staff, and useful amenities made the visit pleasant. If they could improve the room heating system, it would make the stay even better, especially during the colder months.

Good customer service at the check in counter :) Recommended to stay at Building B which looks newer and less crowded, even though restaurant is at Building A. Breakfast spread is average though but there is the view of the ski slopes. Room is great, with awesome view of the mountains!
