Holiday Inn Resort Changbaishan

Location is good and front desk staff are helpful but don't think it's worth the brand "resort".....Can't disagree with an earlier comment on the room termp. Though it's September, to keep the room temp at 26oC was a bit hot indeed to us even at night that I got a "hot" flu, running nose and sneezing. We already tuned the control down to 15oC but the room temp was static at 25-27oC.

We stay at the Holiday Inn Suites hotel , which is very good location , right at the village beside the ski lift . The best hotel location in the village. We came right after the China national holiday which very few tourist but the hotel still maintains good service. Wifi is good , shower is good but you have to walk to holiday inn next door for breakfast and that's the only restaurant . But only takes 3 minutes walk and the suites provide kitchen , so expecting you to cook for yourself for long stay. Come between July and September, or December for ski. Room is excellent .

All the big name western hotels are here, but the quality is not. Wanda the franchisee for all the hotels in this resort, has over played its hand once again. While the staff is well meaning, the hotels are not making money because of too many rooms and not enough guest, so services get cut and maintenance is deferred. They have literally turned off all the air conditioners in all the hotels to save money. Room temps are about 28c/84f with only a small window that opens and a small electric fan provided by the hotel to cool the room. This of course doesn't work when you close the blinds and the room temp goes up at night, making it hard to sleep. Over priced and underwhelmed.
