Stayed at this Hotel for 3 nights upon return from Harbin.
Great location for food, shopping and transport.
The hotel itself is located from the 7th floor upwards - above the Ramada Plaza Shopping Mall. It's restaurant is also located on the 7th floor. We had a dinner there – the food was delicious and served piping hot. The prices were reasonable.
At Ramada Plaza alone, restaurants, supermarket (at the basement), beauty salons and shops selling international and local brands are all in there. Everything seems convenient as if it is just at your doorstep.
If these aren't enough, the Hotel is located in the ever-vibrant and crowded Middle Street Pedestrian Mall - needless to say, food and shopping are aplenty! There is even a convenience store just opposite the Hotel.
Going places? The MTR is just a 5-minute walk.
For its price, our room may be small but is comfortable enough for a couple with two big baggage of thick winter apparels and footwear. The room is super clean and toiletries well stocked. The shower cubicle is spacious. The friendly and hardworking housekeeper was always smiling each time we met her at the walkway to our room.
WiFi connection is occasionally slow but still manageable.
It is important to note that certain requests such as asking for a non-smoking floor is chargeable esp. during peak periods where rooms are limited. This is usually not mentioned in most online hotel booking websites which I have encountered.
With such great location and a comfortable clean room, we simply can't ask for anything more on a winter holiday. It was one of the best Hotels we ever stay on our visits to China. We will surely be back!

Stayed 3 nights in this hotel. When we first arrive we had to go to the 7th floor to check in. My partner who holds PRC passport but have been living aboard for several years was unable to check in with his PRC passport as they do not recognize PRC passport but only recognize PRC identity card. Even with the identity number they are unable to register. We wanted to change hotel and get a refund but was told they don't do refund! I chose this hotel as I thought it was an international hotel and we should not have this issue! My partner have experience this problem with Inns and Motels in China, but not with international hotel or at least a hotel with branding. And so my partner had to go with the hotel staff to the nearest police station to verify his identity as a PRC and get police verification.
After all the hassle, we manage to check in. We requested for a non smoking room but got a smoking room instead. Oh well...The room was average, there were some stains on the bathing towels, table, carpet and moldy bathroom that was emitting some bad smell. The design of the cupboard in the room is weird, we can't open the other cupboard as it was block by the side table. TV Channels are mostly mostly mandarin serial drama, 1 NHK and 1 English movie channel. Basic toiletries, room slippers and mineral water are available and replace daily during room service except for the room slippers. Bed is hard, pillows are very soft even the "hard" pillow as well. Bed sheet is not of good quality, makes us feel itchy and uncomfortable, no bugs on the bed. The bed and bed sheet are a dissappointment, causing me to have 3 sleepless nights. The quality of the bed sheet and bed are similar to those of Motel 168 and some Inns in China.
After experiencing terrible service with the counter staff during check in, we thought they may have better service for general queries. We went to check if there are any tour or cab available that will bring us to qi pan shan for snow ski. The counter staffs are rude as they look elsewhere while talking to you and responded in a " I don't care" manner. They called up some tour agent without telling us that they are calling ( we are almost walking away!) and passed the phone to us. The tour agent supposed to call us back but took such a long time to call back that we booked with an online tour agent from qi pan shan.
The hotel is 5 minutes walk from Zhong jie and the MTR. Opposite the hotel there is a relatively good steamboat restaurant which is recommended. There are cabs available outside of the hotel.
Overall the hotel is good for the location but with the service standard and terrible beds, I would recommend to try other hotels along Zhongjie as this hotel is not worth the price you pay.

I stayed here many times due to business trips and I have quite good experience. The hotel is located few minutes walk from Zhong Jie - the town centre/ shopping street of Shenyang. Hotel lobby is located on 7th floor together with the ballroom and the restaurant/ breakfast room. The rooms are relatively small, but clean and cosy. The is a flat screen TV (only Chinese channels), broadband (no wireless), well stuffed minibar/ snacks. The bathroom is a bit small, but ok and clean. However, the biggest downside of this hotel is the acoustics. The rooms are not sound-proof; one can here the neighbour's TV, conversations, phone calls etc... The executive rooms are the same as the normal rooms with the difference of 1. top level 2. golden colour of the decorations (e.g. golden door handles) 3. better slippers; all others are the same (there is no executive lounge). The breakfast is ok for Chinese standards, but no variations (same breakfast everytime I stayed there again and again). Do not eat the pastries, cakes or breads as they are very dry and hard. In the morning it's always difficult to get a table/ seat for breakfast as it is very crowded. There is no gym or swimming pool. However, the staff is very friendly and attentive. It is within walking distance to the palace, shopping malls, metro station etc. Overall, this is a good budget hotel at a convenient location.
