Garden Inn

This hotel is definitely an interesting place to stay - its abit of a nightmare if you don't speak Chinese (mandarin) as all the staff are non-English speaking and we struggled with checking in and the basics. We all managed to get there in the end though. For the money we paid then its good value. The colour scheme may not to be everyone's liking (its a garish orange and black) and our room had no outdoor facing window (it faced onto the corridor) but had everything we need and a great powerful shower and bathroom. There was some damp in the room but I guess this can be overlooked given the cost of the room. However, what was strange was that the bathroom and bedroom was divided by only a thin curtain! Also, there was a selection of condoms and vibrators included in the room for purchase. So, if you have small children/on a family holiday or like a bit of privacy when in the bathroom then this isn't perhaps the best hotel to stay in. Despite this, its in a great location - 10 minute or so walk to the Muslim Quarter and Wallmart and some street cafe's are literally next door.
