Hilton Xi'an

As a long-time Hilton Diamond member, I've stayed at many Hilton properties around the world, and our stay at Hilton Xi'an (15–18 June) was a wonderful experience. Even before we arrived, I contacted Jones, the Concierge Manager, to help arrange our tours and airport transfers. He was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout the planning process. What impressed me most was that he went above and beyond by helping me source and order a specific type of walking aid for my mother before our arrival. That level of care is something you don't often encounter and made a real difference to our trip. The only disappointment during our stay was that the Executive Lounge was closed. However, the hotel did its best by using the lobby lounge as an alternative. Xiao Xue and Doris looked after us there every day. They remembered our favourite drinks and welcomed us so warmly each time we visited. It's these thoughtful little touches that make guests feel genuinely valued rather than just another room number. I'd also like to thank Lamb at the front desk, who was always cheerful, professional, and happy to answer all of my questions. Every interaction with him was pleasant and efficient. While the hotel is beginning to show its age, it still offers the luxury, comfort, and excellent service that I expect from Hilton. The location is also very convenient for exploring Xi'an. Overall, what made this stay truly memorable was the people. The genuine warmth, attentiveness, and hospitality shown by the team more than made up for any minor shortcomings. I would happily stay here again and thank everyone for making our family feel so welcome.

I stayed in room 829 at the Hilton Xi'an hotel and I was extremely satisfied with the quality of the welcome. The staff were both very warm and professional, from my arrival at the front desk to the attention paid by the housekeeping staff. I was particularly impressed by the welcome reserved for the executive lounge, where the service was impeccable. Thanks again to all the staff, and thanks to you, I plan to stay loyal.

I travel frequently, both for business and leisure, and when I truly connect with a city, I tend to return again and again. Istanbul became one of those cities. Bangkok became another. After this trip, Xian has joined that list. What makes Hilton Xian special is not simply the hotel itself. It is how perfectly it complements the experience of one of the world's great historical cities. From the moment I arrived, the property made an impression. Entering the ancient city through Xian's historic gates and seeing the hotel emerge among the old city streets felt almost cinematic. The lobby is genuinely grand, creating a sense of arrival that many modern hotels have forgotten how to provide. The suite was spacious, elegant, and extremely comfortable. Some travelers may find that the rooms are not the newest in the Hilton portfolio, but I personally found that to be part of their charm. Rather than chasing contemporary trends, the hotel embraces a more classic aesthetic. There is a timeless quality throughout the property that reminded me of an Asian interpretation of Old Rome—refined, dignified, and rich in character. In a city defined by centuries of imperial history, a sleek glass tower would almost feel out of place. Hilton Xian instead feels substantial, mature, and perfectly suited to its surroundings. What I will remember most, however, is the experience of exploring Xian itself. Getting around the city was remarkably easy. While Didi made transportation convenient, my favorite moments happened on a bicycle. I rode through the old city beneath rows of trees as sunlight filtered through the leaves and danced across the streets. The city constantly changed its rhythm. One moment there was noise, movement, vendors, traffic, and conversation. A few minutes later there was silence. I passed beneath ancient gates that had watched over the city for centuries. I cycled through the Muslim Quarter, lively commercial districts, quiet residential streets, and neighborhood fruit stalls piled high with cherries and watermelon. The scent of food drifted through the air. Elderly residents sat beneath the trees talking rest. Young KOLs were dressed in Tang style Hanfu. The city felt wonderfully alive rather than preserved behind glass. There was something deeply satisfying about moving through Xian at the pace of a bicycle. The greatest cities are not museums. They are places where history and everyday life continue to coexist. Hilton Xian served as the perfect base from which to experience all of this. The service was equally memorable. Before arriving in Xian, I had planned to visit the Shaanxi History Museum. Unfortunately, I later discovered that obtaining tickets as a foreign visitor was much more complicated than I expected. Certain local payment functions were unavailable to me, and I had no realistic way to secure admission on my own. The concierge team stepped in and helped arrange a museum ticket that I would never have been able to obtain myself. What could have become one of the biggest disappointments of my trip instead became one of its highlights. Thanks to their assistance, I was able to visit one of the most important cultural attractions in China. Another moment perfectly captured the spirit of hospitality at this hotel. One afternoon, I purchased fresh mangoes from a nearby supermarket. As many travelers know, buying fruit is easy; actually eating it is another matter when you have no knife available. I casually asked whether the hotel could help. Not only did they help, but the mangoes were carefully prepared and delivered to my room beautifully cut and ready to enjoy. Some people may consider this a small gesture. I do not. To me, this is exactly what great hospitality looks like: anticipating a guest's needs and helping without hesitation. Long after I forget room dimensions or thread counts, I will remember that mango. Each time, I returned to the hotel feeling relaxed, comfortable, and ready for another exploration. By the end of the trip, I realized I was no longer simply evaluating a hotel stay. I had fallen in love with a city. Of course, Xian's extraordinary history deserves much of the credit. But Hilton Xian amplified everything I loved about the city and made the experience even more memorable. In all my years of travel, it is rare to find a hotel that feels so connected to its destination while simultaneously delivering such thoughtful service. I know I will return.
