Excellent hotel. A bit of a surprise really. It makes me laugh 😃 the signs say no smoking, but that means nothing. The first room we had the smell of smoke in the room and corridors was overwhelming.
But the worse thing was the phone reception was almost nothing. And the poor internet wifi signal. We complained and they moved us to a far better room. We ended up staying 19 nights. The bed was only moderately comfortable for me.
The breakfasts were good. Close to line 2 subway we preferred the 603 or 616 bus into the city. The neighbourhood was very good also

The hotel lobby looks dated while the corridors look very modern and clean. The room was ok but the view was terrible outside as well as the window being visibly dirty with dust and while asleep all I could smell was smoke, it's like it was smoke infused in the bedding. Our door also wouldn't close without having to force it to slam shut which wasn't nice for us to do when worried about neighbours late at night/early in the morning.
The staff didn't speak much english which is fine as of course this is in China and I can speak some Chinese, but if you can't you may want to stay in a more global chain that will be able to communicate in English. The free breakfast is mainly Chinese which I was happy with but my English family struggled and wouldn't recommend.
The hotel did organise our taxi to the terracotta warriors though which was helpful. The driver was very nice too and organised us an english speaking tour guide for only 150 RMB. He also very happily dropped us back off at a different location to the hotel on our way home which was very helpful.
We made the most of the good location going to the snack street and the metro stop is close by and very cheap.
*beware that the staff give two keys per room, one is to function the door lock, the other is for the electricity inside the room. We didn't realise this and when only one of us went back to the room, we were locked out and the staff would not give a new key as our passports were in the room and would not believe it was us even when they could see our scanned passport photos and details on their system!*

We were roomed in the adjacent block, the Mehood Lestie. The room was fabulous, large and spacious sadly looking into an office building. No cupboard for clothes but loved the modern room, automatic lights and curtains and comfortable chairs. Laundrette superb and very helpful.
Staff were extremely attentive and willing and were very quick and adept at using translation apps.
Restaurant huge soulless and almost empty. Breakfast a huge Asian spread. A tad disappointing. Customers spitting in the restaurant a huge turn off.
We were leaving early on the morning of the Marathon and the staff were unable to offer any real support or help. This was a surprise as they were so helpful in many ways. The only option was a long haul to the metro with heavy cases and tomato’s in our room for breakfast. A sad note to end on. As it happens we were able to sort out a taxi ourselves.
Loved the bell boys clicking heels and salutes.
