We spent two nights on a tour of the Silk Road. It doesn't really look like they're going sightseeing in Xi'an during the day and dining at a restaurant at night, but the modern style keeps the so-called Chinese opulence in check. Bronze murals in the atrium lobby that chronicled Chinese history and ceramic carriages, perhaps inspired by the First Emperor's chariot, also stood out. We used a standard twin room. The interior is quite simple. Amenities are also normal. Breakfast was buffet-style, and the menu was Chinese and Western - well, there were plenty.

I chose this hotel because it is very close to the main railway station, NOTE, not the high speed station. It is a nice comfortable hotel with a friendly staff who speak English. The room was really nice. The hotel also organised an excellent driver to take me to see the Terracotta Warriors, who drove me to the high speed railway station after my visit. The hotel is also located close to the metro system, which is pretty easy to use and can take you to all the interesting places in town. If I were to stay in Xi'an again I would probably try and find a place close to the Bell Tower. I chose this hotel because it was my first time in China and I was taking the night train from Beijing and wanted a hotel within close walking distance to the station. It worked out perfectly. Bottom line, I have no problem recommending this hotel, the breakfast is also really good. I would happily stay here again if I needed to be in this location.
