This is a large corporate hotel. Comfortable enough but without character. I went as part of private China tour and stayed in nicer, more interesting hotels in other locations.

Terrible for a hotel called itself a five star! the fixtures and furnitures are old and tumble, and staff lack training, the lobby is a mess with lot of stuff around almost thought it is a warehouse. The light in corridor is dimming. Wyndham should send someone down there then say how this can be one of theirs! Only good thing is it is cheap!

Do yourself a favour and don't even bother entering the building.
This place was the WORST hotel I stayed in during 3 weeks in China. I was part of a tour group and the group was unanimous in our assessment of this place: it's not fit for animals, let alone humans.
The hardest part of writing a comprehensive review of this hotel is where to start. It is old, dirty, smelly, dilapidated and I liken it to the English TV show Fawlty Towers, although I think I would prefer to stay at Fawlty Towers.
The rooms are filthy, I have no idea when it was last vaccuumed (if ever) but it was a long time ago judging by the amount of dust and other people's hair all over the floor. It has clearly been a smoking hotel for a long time which is evident by the thin layer of sticky tar on every surface and the horrible smell that greets you when you open every door. The towels and linen are old and worn and I had holes in my pillowcase. The air conditioner in the room did nothing but make a lot of noise and blow disgusting air all over us, so we didn't use it and sweated all night instead. I was able to open the windows for some air flow but the major roadway that runs below the hotel failed to promote sleep. The bathroom cabinetry is falling apart and there was mould and limescale all over the bathroom. We had to ring reception to request toilet paper!
The resident dead cockroach in the hotel elevator was a testimate to the standard of cleanliness that the hotel management deems acceptable.
The restaurant is an absolute joke, with a "chef" that is only capable of cooking one dish at a time and wait staff that simply walk away from drinks orders if they don't understand what the customers are asking for (a gin and tonic was too much to ask for). I would liken the quality of the food to a high school canteen and found most of it inedible.
The lights are all dimmed and electric instrumental music is piped at obscene volumes throughout the hotel, I can only assume to assault the senses in an attempt to prevent guests from noticing the disintegrating furniture and dirt.
The staff are trying their best but are obviously working to such a tight budget that they are incapable of maintaining a high standard in their work.
The hotel is in such obvious and desperate need of renovation that I can only guess they are attempting to save money by reducing the quality of food and cleaning services in order to carry out some much needed work.
I would recommend sleeping on the street before I would recommend staying in this hotel. You would have a better experience.
