Xian Minxing Boutique Hotel

We have booked 1 night at this hotel through booking.com. We have arrived to find out that they did not have a record of our reservation and simply said that they couldn't check us in. No apologies or explanations were given as to why we have received no notice of this, no alternative options were given in terms of another accommodation option or even any compassion shown for the situation they have left us in - considering we have been travelling as foreign nationals this has left us very distressed and frustrated. Just been sent off with no place to stay anywhere!!! What a terrible experience! Do not book with this hotel.

Nice spacious room, with free wifi, separate shower and toilet. The best thing is the bed, very comfortable. The only downside is the breakfast. Not much choice. I love the design of the wash basin too. The air conditioning unit is controlled within the room.

When we arrived at the hotel the reception could only speak Chinese and that was it !!! Lucky for us my partner could speak Chinese fluently otherwise we would have been at a loss as initially we got blank looks , There were no porters at the entry to assist us which i think is not acceptable in hotels of this nature After all that we got to our room and found it to be quite roomy and comfortable with plenty of room for the both of us and had been recently renovated in the bathrooms , but they forgot to put any towel rails on the walls The breakfast was included ion the price we paid but was cold and not very western style breakfast but more suited to their Chinese clients Over all this hotel was more for the Chinese people rather than the rest of the world's population and i think the only way to change that is to have someone at the reception who can speak English and at a minimum if they have western guest introduse som western dishes into the breakfast menu
