Xian Union Alliance Atravis Executive Hotel

Xi'an is a big city in area and hotel was very good located with nice furnished rooms, Cleanness and staff are mentioned highly.

This is the worst hotel I've ever had to live in. Of the pluses is only the location in the city center Cons: -The condition of the hotel - no renovations have been done there I think since the construction. Rooms in terrible condition, all old, dirty, shabby. You can see they didn't even vacuum before we drove. All the carpet's in cigarette holes. I didn't want to stand in the shower without slippers... Very strong audibility from the street. 'The room was very stoned, although it was stated that you cannot smoke. But the worst part is the bed. She was with a mattress so old and dead, everyone had a bad back sweat and couldn't rest at all. The buffet was not included in our accommodation - and thank God. There were 3 dishes to choose from, one of which was boiled eggs. I do not recommend this hotel for anyone at all. The hotel was far from being the cheapest, not even pulling 1 star. If you want something cheaper, you'd better take a hostel, but with modern renovations and nice beds.

We visited this hotel as part of a tour. The rooms were very dated and the cleaniness was at the low end of acceptable; we had a wardrobe doors missing, carpet was past if best as were the towels. Breakfast was terrible, there were no lights, partially warm food (food heaters not on), coffee was in a paper cup, staff not service orientated and the tables had layers of plastic sheets on which presumably enabled the staff to do a magic trick at the end clean the tables in a flash. The reception had astrong smell of toilets around the lift area. Apart from that the location was good.
